Vormwerk began out of frustration with plastic desk organisers that creaked under normal screen weight and flaked after a few months of daily keyboard contact. We wanted desktop objects made from the same honest materials as the classic drafting tables we grew up admiring, so we set up our workshop on Savannahweg in Utrecht.
We cut and sand solid European oak and mill architectural 6063 aluminium to tight mechanical tolerances. Every joint, tray notch, and cork foot is fitted by hand, and every surface is wiped clean and checked before it gets packed into our corrugated boxes.
By dealing directly with working professionals, we avoid the heavy markups of traditional furniture showrooms. We take full merchant responsibility for what we make, honouring our statutory obligations and maintaining a transparent 30-day return process for unused goods.
If an oak edge shows tear-out or an aluminium bevel has a burr, it does not leave the table. We keep the standard high so your setup stays tidy.
